Save the Spots!

This summer I had the opportunity to work at the @sdzsafaripark with the African Cheetah! Everything about a cheetah’s anatomy is designed for speed: from their enlarged nostrils and lungs for increased oxygen intake to their sleek elongated bodies. Sadly they have disappeared from 76% of their historic range in Africa and are listed as a vulnerable species. BUT there’s still hope! The safari park is one of several facilities across the country dedicated to improving conservation methods and working with organizations in Africa to increase awareness and public perception of this beautiful and unique animal. So spread the word and support the spots! 🐾
