This shirt supports the endangered Turks and Caicos Rock Iguana!! This species was once found throughout nearly all 200+ islands in the Turks and Caicos but sadly are now restricted to < 10% of their historic range. Human development and introduction of non-native animals are the leading causes of population declines.
In addition to raising awareness, 30% of proceeds go directly to my research—conducted in collaboration with UCLA and the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance—on the conservation and behavior of these iguanas.
